Daphne Dragona is a curator, theorist, and writer based in Berlin and Athens. In her current work, she examines the role of matter and materiality in the shaping of artistic practices amid technological acceleration and environmental collapse.
Among the institutions she has collaborated with are Onassis Stegi (Athens), transmediale (Berlin), EMST – National Museum for Contemporary Art (Athens), Akademie Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart), European Media Art Festival (Osnabrück), Laboral (Gijón), Aksioma (Ljubljana), NeMe (Limassol), Alta Tecnología Andina (Lima), Le Lieu Unique (Nantes), and Eleusis – European Capital of Culture.
Her articles have been published in various books, journals, and magazines by publishers such as Intellect, Diaphana Press, Springer, Sternberg Press, and Leonardo Electronic Almanac. With Jussi Parikka she co-edited Words of Weather (Onassis Foundation, 2022). She holds a PhD from the Faculty of Communication & Media Studies of the University of Athens. Dragona is an adjunct professor at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University.
